“Weapon of Massive Consumption”

“I want to be rich and I want lots of money…I want lots of clothes and fuck loads of diamonds…And I am a weapon of massive consumption. And it’s not my fault, it’s how I’m programmed to function.” – Lilly Allen, “The Fear”

How adorable is this video? Balloons, pastries, life-size presents and butlers all packed into a colossal mansion on the country-side. It seems like something straight out of Alice and Wonderland. I love the pastels and the fantasy world that Lilly is playing around in. Not to mention that I fell in love with her dress.

After researching details about the video, I found out that Lilly’s dress is from London based designer PPQ. It retails at £325 (about $455, ah!). Hmph, if only I had $500 to spend on a dress. *pout

You can view PPQ’s  latest collection at their Web site: http://www.ppqclothing.com/

I had no idea about this designer until now, and I’m kind of liking their youthful spin on retro, fantasy-like clothing.  It’s all very eclectic. I adore how they play with different colors, textures and patterns.

Ahhh , how I love finding hidden gems. Makes me feel all nostalgic about Europe and it’s funky-fresh take on fashion.

What do you think?

  1. Lorena,

Your blog is perfect for the chic woman in their 20’s! I may pick up one of those O.P.I. nail polishes…the colors are amazing. I will be anxiously awaiting a new posting. Keep it up…you’re certainly doing great!
