I’m on Pinterest!

I signed up for this new-ish site months ago when it seemed like absolutely nobody was on. Now, it’s blown up to  a whole new scale – everyone and their mother seems to be on the Pinterest craze. You wouldn’t expect me to be out of the loop, right?

I have to admit I’ve gotten a tad (well a lot) obsessed with pinning ridiculously gorge, inspiring and yummy pix. It’s the perfect way to keep tab on your favorite new accessories, to recipes you want to whip up, to fab DIYs to try your hand at. Not to mention even major brands have jumped onboard to promote themselves and interact with their audiences on a new social media platform.

Back with a Bang!…

…or should i say, bag?

How have you been lovelies?…Good?… Good!

I’ve been, well, pretty swamped with life in general. It seems like my trabajo has slowly crept over just about every aspect of my life – pushing aside my social life (you know, friends and such) and my very fav things to do, ehm, writing. Who can complain though!

So, with the new year literally just around the corner, and with some precious free time on my hands, I figured, what the heck, BRING ON THE BLOGGING. 2012 = time to get a little ME time in.

Figured I’d kick off my re-delving into the blogosphere with another of my very fav things: bags.

I’ve been swooning over Foley + Corinna’s amazeballs (and super-functional) bag for ages now, sooooo when I got an e-mail about their Disco City bag going on sale for just $99, I swiped that puppy up oh-so-effing fast.

I bought me the adorbs Raspberry (which is currently Out of Stock, womp!):

My little gem finalllllyyy came in the mail, and I rushed to open it to only be a tad (well, at first A LOT) dissappointed:

it’s UBER tiny  

(As you can see ^ in comparison with my current wallet, which basically takes up the entire bag).

Teaches me for “reading” the dimensions before purchasing.

Oh well, it’s still super soft leather, a gorgeous color, and super light. Looks like I’ll just be using it as a going-out-at-night bag.

Maybe I shoulda bought me the Mid City or the Lady City Tote, hmmmm…

Oh, Hello old friend.

 

Been some time since we last spoke. I know we’ve parted ways for a bit, but I can’t keep you off my mind.  It’s true, a million and one things have kept me busy, and away from you.

But this distance is unbearable and I’ve come to the conclusion that yes, I need you in my life.

I need that feeling of letting go, venting my inner-most feelings, expressing my creativity.

And you, yes you sweetie, allow me to do that.

How could I have let you go for so long?

I promise to never ever let this ridiculous excuse of “not having time” ever come between us again.

I’ve missed you terribly. Have you missed me?

I’ve missed those days spent with you in bed, sipping on a warm delicious cup of coffee, discussing for an endless amount of time our thoughts, our inspirations, our dreams. I miss those days when I came to you for clarity in this chaotic scheme of a world.
